WELCOME

Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

We have an active, small troop of two dozen registered 10-18 year-old boys and girls who make up Scouts BSA (boy) troops 424 and (girl) 4424.

The program of Scouting BSA focuses on acheivements by active participation, always led by the Scouts themselves under the guidance of trained adults. We have been fortunate to see most youths who enter the program earn their first-class rank in under 18 months and are proud to see several earn their Eagle Scout Rank by the time they're 18. Our youth leaders, including Patrol Leaders and Senior Patrol Leaders have been trained at ILST,  National Youth Leadership Training and hiked at Philmont Scout Ranch High Adventure Base in NM

OUR PROGRAM includes
** Monthly outings at overnight camping, backpacking, hiking, cycling or canoeing
** Bimonthly Service Projects to the community such as Scouting for Food, Make Winter Park Beautiful, Lake Cleanups, and projects at Meade Gardens
** Weekly Wednesday night
meetings at 630-800pm for instruction, games, and achievements at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Orlando hall and grounds.  All faiths are welcome and our scouting program is non-denominational.

The Program is guided by Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters several who earned their own Eagle Rank in their youth, and all have committed to additional training such  Youth Protection Trainingpositioning training, and/or Wood Badge

Please come and see how we prepare youth to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders, guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
